Looking Back was released as a single on October 1966 by John Mayall Bluesbreaker's featuring Peter Green. Then it was published on the album with the same name in 1969.


 The song Looking Back was originally written by Johnny "Guitar" Watson and  first released by Johnny Watson in 1961.
