A departure from Guy's normal style of Chicago blues playing, Buddy and Producer Dennis Herring recorded the album "Sweet Tea" with North Mississippi regional musicians Sam Carr on drums (Jelly Roll Kings), Jimbo Mathus Jr on guitar, (North Mississippi Allstars), Bobby Whitlock on keyboards, (Derek and the Dominoes), Californian Davey Faragher on bass guitar, (The Imposters/Elvis Costello) and Davey Thomas from England on drums, (The Attractions/Elvis Costello). The end result a Grammy nominated album.
